Danny Avalos is your friendly neighborhood program coordinator at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. Joining the Agency Relations team in 2022, he is the regional coordinator for eastern Contra Costa County and administers The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

Growing up in Richmond, California, he was unaware of being food insecure, thanks to his hard-working immigrant parent from El Salvador. But when he started a family at a young age, he saw himself standing on a hunger cliff many times.

He’s been volunteering and helping his local community in Oakley through different ministries for the past ten years. He now brings that passion to the next level by participating in the 2023 speaker series and CAP.
