Falling on December 3rd, just five days after Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday is when the entire globe unites for the shared purpose of helping others. After the rush of the holidays, it’s an opportunity to spread joy and goodwill to others, and make meaningful change right where you live.
Hunger fighters like you have proven again and again that when you come together as a community to support our neighbors, your impact is out of this world! You’ve already changed lives
Last year hunger fighters like you helped us provide more than 400,000 meals with your generous Giving Tuesday support! Your donations helped ensure that everyone in our community had the food they needed to enjoy a special holiday meal with the ones they love – as well as the healthy staples our neighbors rely on day-to-day.
Your support doesn’t stop at meals, either! Because of hunger-fighters like you, we are about to complete our three-year strategic plan, which will improve food access and community wellbeing for years to come. With your help, we’ve taken significant steps to close the meal gap in our counties, while making healthy food more available to all. As we head into our 50th year, your Giving Tuesday support will help us continue to be there for all who need us – and help us build our next strategic plan, so we can continue to work towards a hunger-free future for our community.

Need in our community remains high as we head into the holidays. We’re currently serving about 65,000 households every month and expect to see as much as a 20% increase in need, as seasonal expenses put more pressure on those already struggling to make ends meet. That’s why your support on Giving Tuesday means so much.
We’re proud that 97 cents of every dollar you donate goes directly to food programs for our community. Your donations combined with our bulk purchasing power means that families, kids, seniors and neighbors across your community will have food they need to gather with loved ones this holiday season, and put food on their tables daily.
That’s what Giving Tuesday is all about – building up our community for a shared purpose.

We want to give you an up-close look at what your gifts make possible! Join us on Giving Tuesday for a behind-the-scenes tour of our Concord and Fairfield warehouses. Tours run every half hour between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with the final tours of the day beginning at 4 p.m. Pre-register for your tour here.
