Geo is a proud Speaker Series 2024 Graduate and the Mobile Distributions Program Coordinator for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. His role as a hunger fighter is going out into the community to provide a nutritious variety of shelf-stable goods, fresh produce and frozen protein options through the Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry Distributions program. In just 2024 alone, Geo’s mobile pantry distributions have served over 40,000 households. His boots-on-the-ground experience is invaluable to ensuring our advocacy team rings true to what is currently going on within our communities.
Geo’s mission of supporting his community stems from his time as a college student at San Jose State University. There he had firsthand experience of utilizing food pantries. Recognizing the life-saving relief they can provide, Geo champions those who reach out for support through CalFresh and free food distributions. The combination of his lived experience with food insecurity and his current hunger-fighting role motivates Geo to constantly find new ways to provide accessible and healthy food for people of all ages and backgrounds.
