Felix Huang serves as the Director of Operations at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano in California. With over 20 years of experience in supply chain management in the food bank sector, he has been dedicated to combating hunger since 2003. Felix has a proven track record overseeing computerized inventory, order processing and distribution systems. His strong project management skills are instrumental in leading the Food Bank’s food distribution and operations teams, with a focus on continuous improvement, problem identification, issue resolution, and reporting.
Felix has developed and executed key strategies in demand forecasting, food sorting planning, and inventory optimization. While at Alameda County Community Food Bank, he played a significant role in budget planning, overseeing budgets ranging from $16M to $20M, and in the strategic planning for the distribution of 54 million pounds of food to over 350 partner agencies across Alameda County. Additionally, Felix completed the prestigious Feeding America LevelUp! Leadership Development Program in May 2024.
Originally from Rangoon, Burma, Felix earned a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Rangoon University before migrating to Canberra, Australia, where he worked as a head chef. He later relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, to reunite with his family, before settling in California with his wife and two children. In his spare time, Felix enjoys cooking, hiking and spending quality time with his family and their dog, Mia.
