Laura Moran

Interim CEO (until April 2024)

Laura is an experienced leader who has worked in management consulting and industry and has a broad skillset including strategic planning, brand and marketing, operations, talent development and organizational change. Laura worked at Prophet, a global growth and transformation consultancy, for 20 years in numerous roles including client management, learning and development, corporate development, and global resourcing. She retired as Chief of Staff, North America. Before Prophet, Laura worked in branding at Nestle and led marketing at PowerBar. She earned a BA in Philosophy from Colgate University and an MBA from USC Marshall School. Since retiring, she has spent time serving the Food Bank and other nonprofits including ScholarMatch, White Pony Express, and Lamorinda Village. Laura does her best to live by her personal motto of CLASH – connection, learning, adventure, health and service. She believes that we are all connected and thus have a moral responsibility to help each other. Laura joined the Food Bank’s board in 2016. She served as Chair and Vice Chair, transitioning to interim CEO in July 2023 following Joel’s retirement.
