Having worked for over 30 years at Shell Oil and Texaco, Teresa is an experienced leader in environment, safety and health management. Her passion was developing and leading a work culture that demonstrated employees’ personal responsibility for their safety and that of the neighboring community. She participated in and supported Shell’s commitment to employee community volunteerism, which included the Food Bank. Upon retirement, Teresa has continued her personal commitment to volunteerism in her community. As a Food Bank board member, Teresa has assisted the Food Bank in establishing work processes and policies, and she continues to volunteer regularly at distribution and warehouse sites. Teresa also is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for a foster child and continues to be a role model for the children she serves. Teresa holds a biology degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in industrial Hygiene from the University of Southern California.
